Below is some additional information that should prove helpful for all as we prepare for the concert:
- Publicity - We will use photographs and information from your Website for both publicity and the concert program. You may send additional information if you like. Margit Resch ([email protected] (843) 263-5916) is our PR liaison. Please send a song list, if applicable, to Rick Stein ([email protected]) at least one month before the concert.
- Housing -Gloria Robinson ([email protected], (210) 394-2062) will be your contact for housing questions. We will provide housing in a private home (that is unoccupied) located a few minutes’ distance from the Community Centre venue, and “amenity cards” that will give you access to the restaurants and sports facilities on Fripp Island. Please let Gloria know how many bedrooms you will need and how many nights you plan to stay, so that we can arrange the house and cards. We will provide breakfast items in the house. Please let Gloria know of any special requests (decaf coffee, yogurt, etc.) that you have and also if you have any requests for the “green room” prior to the concert.
- Airport Information - Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is the closest airport to Fripp Island. It is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Fripp Island. http://savannahairport.com/. Charleston International Airport is located approximately 2 hours from Fripp Island. https://iflychs.com. There are several rental car agencies near the airport that can provide a car for the artist to rent for transportation to and from the island. (FIFOM does not provide ground transfers.)
- Gate Pass - After you develop your itinerary, please send Gloria Robinson ([email protected], (210) 394-2062), the approximate time you would be arriving at Fripp by car. We will have a car pass for you at the gate. We will need the names of any driver(s) as shown on their driver’s license for Security to give you a pass.
- Stage Requirements - Do you have any special technical requirements? We can set up a floor microphone for your use and for speaking to the audience. We will ensure that the piano is tuned prior to the concert. Brooke Pearson ([email protected], (802) 272-3462) will answer any questions you may have concerning technical support.
- In School Workshop - You are scheduled to give a workshop at a school in Beaufort (about 30-35 minutes from Fripp Island) on the Monday morning after the concert. More specific information about the school audience and venue will be provided by Brooke Person ([email protected], (802-272-3462) closer to your arrival. In general, our workshops start around 9 or 9:30 and are scheduled to last 50 to 60 minutes. The Artist(s) will be accompanied by one or more of our members to the school.
- CD, DVD Sales - A table will be provided for the sale of the artist’s CDs or DVDs at the reception following the Fripp Island concert performance.
